William K. Nicholas
William K. Nicholas, 62, of Hollidaysburg, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at the Hollidaysburg Veteran Home.
He was born on July 29, 1952, in Altoona, the son of William S. Nicholas and Joan (Burger) Cline.
He was preceded in death by his father, William and sister, Faith Carbaugh Nicholas.
He is survived by his wife Diane (Shaw) Nicholas of Johnstown; daughter, Heather and husband Richard Kerr of Everett; sisters, Ada and husband Richard Harmon of Daytona Beach, Florida; Crystal and husband Craig Musselman of Mercersburg; Twila and husband Paul Ketro-Ruh of Columbus, OH; and one grandchild, Zoey Kerr.
William was in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed sports, hunting, family picnics, and fixing things. He had a lot of friends and enjoyed mingling with them. He was a hard worker, a loving father and a great provider for his family.
Friends and family will be received at the Everett Grace Brethren Church Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014 from 10 a.m. until the hour of the funeral service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Melvin D. Van Orman officiating.
Military rites will be accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
Interment will be at the Everett Cemetery.
