William James Bowser Sr.
Osterburg
William James Bowser Sr., 71, of Osterburg, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on December 22, 1948; son of Ralph and Anna (Harr) Bowser.
On May 6, 1996, he married Sharon Bowser.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert, Gary, and Charles; sisters, Donna, Connie, and Shirley; brother in laws, James Tullos and Dennis Benton.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; son, Roland Markle Jr. and wife Chris; daughters, Lesa Bondura and husband Mario; Tina Weist and husband Vernon; Cindy Emerick and husband Aaron; Heather Kegg; Jamie Fletcher and husband Scott; Rebecca Bowser; Tina Scalla and husband Ed; and son, William J. Bowser II; 18 grandchildren; 17 great- grandchildren; brothers, John Bowser and friend Betty Shankle; Joe Bowser and friend Peggy Bowser; sisters, Jean Benton and Judy Tullos.
William had one special grandson, Aaron Emerick II that was the light of his life and they had a very strong bond together and he will miss him dearly. He was a truck driver for 35 years with millions of safety miles and he also drove school bus. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Friends and family will be received on Thursday, September 3,from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held Friday, September 4, at 11a.m. at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home.
Interment will be held at the Imler Valley Cemetery.
