Ulysses Aaron Grant
Altoona
Ulysses Aaron Grant, 47, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 31, 2020 at UPMC Altoona.
He was born on October 12, 1972, in Windber, Pa; son of the late Terry and Pamela Grant.
He is survived by his sister, Lesly (Grant) Roose married to Michael Roose and his nieces and nephew Joshua (Sierra) , Madison and Emma Roose.
Ulysses will be fondly remembered by his aunts, uncles, and cousins, especially his “Uncle Johnnie,” ”P-Aunt,” and “Baby Beth”. Also his friends and staff at skills of Central PA.
Ulysses spoke very little words, but he could express his love with a look or a grin. His laughter was contagious. He took joy in the little things, spending time with family and friends, going on car rides, swimming, and music therapy. He lived a life that exemplified the fruits of the Spirit , his unbridled love was unconditional, he was joyful and content no matter the circumstance. His peace passed all understanding, his patience was unmatched especially as he taught those around him his own language. He was so kind, so good, so gentle, so faithful, so humble. As a big brother he taught me some of the most important life lessons without ever saying a word. I am eternally grateful for the blessing he has been to our family and thank God for his time here on Earth.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, September 4, from 2 p.m. until the hour of the funeral service at 3 p.m. with Pastor Nathan Crissman officiating at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home.
Interment will be at the Mount Carmel Lutheran Church Cemetery in Ogletown.
