Shannon E. Claycomb, 38, formerly of Osterburg, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015 at home.

He was born on Jan. 21, 1977 in Roaring Springs; the son of Charles Claycomb and Alice (Deffibaugh) Anderson.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Eva and Albert “Jean” Claycomb, grandparents, Bill and Elsie Deffibaugh; and nephew Chans Feather.

He is survived by his father Charles and step mother Sandra of Osterburg; and his mother Alice Anderson of Sproul with whom he resided; children, Ty and Hailey Claycomb; girlfriend, Jessica Foulk; brother, Joseph Claycomb of Hollidaysburg; sister, Jill Claycomb married to Josh Harkins of Osterburg; and step-brother Samuel and wife Megan Stufft of Hawaii.

Shannon was a 1995 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School and played football. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and enjoyed hunting. He was a member of the VFW Post 9219. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Friends and family will be received Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home, with a service being held at 6 p.m. with Christian Claycomb officiating.

A private interment will be held at the Pavia Cemetery.
