Sarah E. Corle, 96, of Pavia, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Maple Winds, Portage.
She was born on October 12, 1928 in Blue Knob; daughter of the late Elmer and Emma (Seymour) Feathers.
On September 6, 1952, she married Lloyd R. Corle, who preceded her in death on January 28, 1987.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd; 2 daughters, Emma and Bernace; sister, Margaret; brother, Elmer (Pete); brother-in-laws, Cloyd Imler and Connie Berkheimer; and sister-in-law, Miriam “Cookie”.
She is survived by her children, Margaret “Maggie” and husband Larry Hoover of Michigan; George W. and wife Joanette (Jo) Corle of Pavia; 6 grandchildren, Emma (Aaron) Macauley, Clay (Sara) Hoover, Shane (Carrie) Corle, Taylor (Tiffani) Corle, Jessica (Jason) Musselman and Adam (Nikita) Stultz; 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-granddaughter on the way; brothers, Frank of Texas; John and wife Nancy of Portage, Samuel and wife Judy of Lovely; and sister, Ruby of Weyant.
Sarah was a member of the Mt. Zion Reformed Church in Pavia. She worked in the Taxidermy shop, braided rugs for 50 years, loved to garden, sew, work outside and canning. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, December 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home and on Wednesday, December 4 from 10 a.m. until the hour of the funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Mt. Zion Reformed Church, Pavia with Terry Feathers officiating.
Interment will be at the Pavia Cemetery.
