Sandra Barefoot, 83, of Alum Bank, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Windber Medical Center.

She was born on July 6, 1939 in Windber; daughter of the late Raymond and Olive (Huffman) Reay.

On September 21, 1957, she married Nevin V. Barefoot Sr., who preceded her in death on October 31, 2015.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nevin; and brother, Raymond Reay.

She survived by her children, Nevin (Butch) Jr. and wife Stephanie Barefoot of Alum Bank; Sherry and husband Ralph Mitchell of Alum Bank; Carla and husband Gary Morgart of Alum Bank; Melissa Barefoot of Alum Bank; Chris Barefoot of Alum Bank; Tracy and husband Tom Dunlap of Fishertown; 10 grandchildren, Mistie, Jarod, Christy, Chanda, Cara, Makayla, Blake, Danette, Raeann, and Gage; 12 great grandchildren, Ty, Hailey, Deondre, Natasha, Dominick, Trinity, Zander, Autumn, Makenzie, Adalynn, Chase, and Colton; and two great-great grandchildren, Weston and Ryley; and sister, Shirley and husband Regis Buckwalter of Maryland. 

Sandra was a loving wife, a dedicated mother, and an amazing grandmother. She was a devout Christian, and her walk of faith was an inspiration to many. She liked to read and play games, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. 

Friends and family will be received on Sunday, July 31 from 4 to 8 p.m. at God’s Missionary Church. The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 1st at 11 a.m. with Pastor Tim Ellis officiating at the God’s Missionary Church.

Interment will be held at the Pleasantville Cemetery.
