Ronald V. Barefoot, 75, of Silver Spring, Maryland, formerly of Alum Bank, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at the Casey House in Rockville, Maryland.

He was born on March 11, 1949, in Alum Bank; son of the late Harry and Leah (Berkey) Barefoot.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Brant.

He is survived by his brother Carl of Somerset; sister, Beverly Lehman of New Paris; brothers, Jay of Silver Spring, Md; Roy (Betty) of New Paris; Russell (Wilma) of Mt. Airy, Md; Byron (Carolyn) of Nokesville, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

Ronnie graduated from Chestnut Ridge High School Class of 1967. He served his country in the Army in Germany and Vietnam. He worked in construction in the Washington, D.C. area and later drove city bus in Montgomery County Maryland.

He enjoyed riding motorcycles and going to races. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be at the Pleasantville Cemetery.
