Robert "Bob" Webb Obituary

Robert “Bob” Webb, 70, of New Paris, PA went to be with the Lord on July 17, 2025. He is deeply missed by his loving family.

Bob was born on December 20, 1954, in Pleasantville to the late Elwood and Ann Webb. He was the first of eight children followed by David (Betty) Webb, Duane (Terri) Webb, Cindy (Garland) Beam, Ken (Detra) Webb, Pam (Rod) Manges, Deb (Mark) Wiley, and Gayle (Jamie) Gorman.

He graduated from Penn State University and studied Parks, Recreation, and Tourism. After college, he lived along the C & O Canal and worked for the National Park Service. He studied lighting and photography under John Sexton, who was an apprentice to master photographer Ansel Adams. He was the owner of the Snap Shop in Bedford for 25 years and the Union Hotel. Bob was a local photographer and over the years photographed many weddings, students, and families, even spanning multiple generations. He had an amazing memory and never forgot a face. He was also a real estate agent with Century 21 for 17 years. He enjoyed acting and had roles in multiple productions with the Bedford County players. Currently, he worked for the Bedford County Visitors Bureau as a Distribution and Grant Program Manager. He was the Bedford County Committee Chair and Liaison for the AmericaPA250, planning the 18 month long Semiquincentennial celebrations.

He regularly attended Crossroads Bible Church and special services at the Dunnings Creek Church of the Brethren with his immediate and extended family.

Bob was multi-talented and had a great love for the outdoors and animals. He was a self-taught guitarist, photographer, artist, painter, hunter and fly fisherman. He loved travel, reading, and history. You could often find him working in his garden or canning in the kitchen. But of all his loves- family came first.

He is survived by the following family: wife Trena (Trail) Webb of New Paris, PA; son Ashton and wife Anne (Frank) Webb of Julian, PA; daughter Carisa (Webb) Brower and husband Justin Brower of Alum Bank, PA; son Christopher and wife Kim (Smith) Webb of New Paris, PA; 5 grandchildren Harper, Nolan, and Frederick Webb, Charlotte and Nicholas Brower; Brielle and Dylan Whysong of Fishertown, Judy Trail of Chaneysville, Tami (Trail) & Brian Shives of Chaneysville, Tina (Trail) & Ruste Pittman of Everett and dear friend Rhonda Sarver of Wellersburg.

The family would like to express our immense gratitude to the ambulance team, emergency responders, and Altoona Hospital ICU for their amazing care and compassion. Finally, we would like to thank all the local churches and community for their love and support. Through their many prayers, we truly felt God's goodness and strength.

Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, July 22 from 10 a.m. until the hour of the funeral service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Mark Dillow officiating at the Crossroads Bible Church.

A private burial will be held at the Ogletown Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dunnings Creek Church of the Brethren and Crossroads Bible Church.
