Robert D. Helsel, 86, of Imler went home to be with his loving wife Joyce and Lord on Sunday, November 23, 2025.

He was born on August 15, 1939 in Imler; son of the late Earl and Jennie (Imler) Helsel.

On October 31, 1959, he married the love of his life, Joyce (Himes) Helsel, who preceded him in death on November 18, 2025. Together they built a beautiful life centered on family, faith, and devotion to one another.

Robert is survived by his son, Steve Helsel; two grandchildren, Amanda and husband Shane Hillegass of Freeport, Pa; Katie and husband Craig Cannon of Audubon, IA; three great-grandchildren, Kolter, Kyler, and Kayden; brother, Clarence Helsel.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife Joyce of 66 years; son, David Helsel; brothers, Pete; Calvin; Joe; sister, Irene; 2 infant siblings, Charles & Mary.

Robert was a hard worker; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, John Deere tractors and front porch sitting with his wife Joyce. He will be missed by all who knew him.

The funeral service will be held with his loving wife, Joyce  on Tuesday, November 25th at 11 a.m. , with Kathy Speck officiating at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home.

Interment will be held at the Greenfield Cemetery.
