Richard E. (Dick) Miller Sr., 82, of Alum Bank, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at home.
He was born on November 3, 1939 in Osterburg; son of the late, James E. and Lura Marie (Dull) Miller.
On May 17, 1958, he married Lois C. Miller, who preceded him in death on January 12, 2018.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lois; son, Brian Keith; grandson, Maverick; brother, Jimmy Miller; and sister, Diane.
He is survived by his children; Richard (Rick) Miller Jr. of New Paris; Barbara D. Feather and companion Scott Brown of Everett; Joel K. Miller of Alum Bank; 5 grandsons, Stephen Feather, Charles Feather, James Feather, Robert Feather, Bryan Feather; 8 great-grandchildren, Becky Feather, Shane Feather, Scott Feather, Olivia Feather, Brayden Feather, Lincoln and Collin Feather and Raleigh; also, grand dog Bandit.
Richard was a member of the Alum Bank United Methodist Church. He worked at Turnpike Auto for 10 years, and Brown Motors for 40 years.
Friends and family will be received on Monday, April 11th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 12th at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kendra Balliet officiating at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home.
Interment at the Pleasantville Cemetery.
