Richard “Jack” Hoover, 82, of Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Pennknoll Village.

He was born on November 6, 1940 in East St. Clair; son of the late, Donald K. and Verneta (Gilson) Hoover.

On April 24, 1993, he married Patricia Hoover, who preceded him in death on February 27, 2020.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Patricia; and sister, Patricia Weist.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Barbara and Jennifer; step-children, Nora L. Seyler and husband James of West Lawn, Pa; Cynthia Farmer of Florida; Brenda A. Breidegam of Pottstown; siblings, Kenneth and wife Janet Hoover of Arizona; Carol Hoover of Bedford; Larry and wife Margaret Hoover of Michigan; 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a member of St. John’s Church in Boyertown and Trinity Lutheran Church in Bedford.

At the request of the deceased there will be no services.
