Alum Bank
R. Allen Mock, 84, of Alum Bank, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at Conemaugh Hospital.
He was born on April 22, 1937, in Imler; son of the late Ralph and Nellie G. (Feathers) Mock.
On September 24, 1960, he married Ethel (Dull) Mock.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Mock; brothers, Zane, Keith, and Terry Mock; sister, Sylvia Weaverling; mother and father-in-law, Henry and Mary Dull.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel; daughter-in-law, Lisa (Ringler), late husband Mark Mock; Barry Mock; Stacy Fickes and husband Ted of Alum Bank; Leeann and husband Johnny Kohler of Pavia; Jason and wife Melissa (Williams) Mock of Alum Bank; Kendra and husband Jeremy Blackburn of Alum Bank; 20 grandchildren and 1 on the way; and 12 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way.
Allen served in the United States Army from 1960-1962, and he also served in the Army Reserves. He retired from Allegheny Trucks in Altoona as a diesel mechanic. He was an avid hunter. He was a man who could fix anything. He liked to do wood working and build many cabinets for his children. As a family we are blessed to know he accepted Jesus as his Savior which makes this parting so much easier knowing we have the hope of a family reunion in Heaven.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, March 25 from 4 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, from 10 a.m. until the hour of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Timothy Ellis officiating, at the God’s Missionary Church, 3990 Quaker Valley Rd. Alum Bank, Pa 15521.
Interment will be at Pleasantville Cemetery.
Military Rites accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
