Mitchell "Mitch" Parker Obituary

Mitchell “Mitch” Wayne Parker

Pavia

Mitchell “Mitch” Wayne Parker, 64, of Pavia, went home to be in the arms of his Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 18, 2025, by his side was his loving wife Cindy, Stepson Dylan Kudrick and Jeanne Hess.

Mitch was born on January 18, 1961 in the District of Columbia, the son of Marvin George Parker and Patricia (Padget) Rush, who both preceded him in death along with his best friend and step-father Donnie Rush, and brother Michael Parker.

On May 26th he married the love of his life Cindy (Burkett) Parker. Together they traveled many roads but always hand and hand and side by side.

Cindy survives along with brother, Robert Hall, wife Teressa; Kirk Hall and friend Betty; daughters, Amanda Davies, husband Brandon; Michelle Moore, husband Dustin; stepsons, Ryan Kudrick wife Nicol; and Dylan Kudrick. He was blessed with many grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Kameron Davies, wife Jenna; Kandace Davies; Zachary Davies; Bryson Moore, wife Kierston; Rylan and Chloe Moore, and James Beck. Great granddaughters, Sage Davies and Presley Davies. He also loved his many nieces and nephews and there are many.

It took Mitch a while to come around to the antics of what he Dubbed “The Brady Bunch Family: AKA “The Burkett’s”, but once he realized how truly much, we loved him and that he was also part of us he came around. Stanley Burkett and wife Pat, Karen Callihan and husband, Danny, Luann Sell and husband Jerre and myself wore the title of “The Brady Bunch” proudly.

Mitch was honored and proud to serve our country from 1980 until 1985 in the 101st Airborne air assault division of the United States Army, during these times he was in Alaska, Panama, and Germany and other places during his career.

He moved back to PA in 2000 and was employed by Sac Energy Sept. 6, 2001 until March 10, 2025, where he met many, and grew to love his work family.

Mitch was an avid hunter and fisherman and a member of the Oakwood hunting camp and enjoyed spending time there with the boys and sharing great story telling moments. He looked forward to retirement and being able to spend more time there, and traveling with his wife. He was a man of few words and a great judge of character, but once he knew you were good, he became quick to love. He was a very kind man who would never ask for help but would be there in a heartbeat to help anyone who needed it.

He also had a love for his four-legged fur babies Jackie who never left his side on his journey home, Dozer, Alley and Bella. For such a tough guy he had such kindness and love for all living creatures. There are just way too many things that could be said about the greatness of this God loving man, he will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him.

Friends and family will be received on Monday, September 22nd from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 23rd at 11 a.m. at the Mt. Zion Reformed Church of Pavia.
