Mildred “Mid” Heming, 96, of Alum Bank, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at home.

She was born on February 2, 1929 in Pleasantville; daughter of the late Ward and Eula (Nunamaker) Barefoot.

On June 17, 1954, she married Fred Heming Sr. , he preceded her in death on October 22, 1992.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred; siblings, Verle, Harold, Clair, Helen, Mary, Florine, Leonard, Nevin, and Nathan; son, Fred; and daughter-in-law, Tina.

She is survived by her children, Doug and wife, Brandi; Steve and wife, Mendy; Ward; Sharon and husband, Ron; daughter-in-law, Mary Heming; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Mid was a lifelong member of the Alum Bank Community Church. She was teacher’s aide for the Chestnut Ridge School District for many years. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ethan Shearer officiating at the Alum Bank Community Church.
