Mary Jane Carson, 85, of Alum Bank, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Windber Medical Center.

She was born on July 2, 1936 in Windber; daughter of the late John and Anna (Martin) Horvath.

On August 19, 1960, she married Jack Carson, who survives her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Brandiee; numerous brothers and sisters; and daughter in law, Carol.

She is survived by her husband, Jack; children, Wayne and wife Tonya Carson of Bedford; Sue and husband Don Trindle of Homer City; Joann and Paul Fischer of Alum Bank; Donna and husband Donald Keel of Alum Bank; Mark Carson of Bedford; Darlyne and husband Tom Malec of Schellsburg; Eric and wife Ruth Carson of Bolivia; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Louis Horvath of Michigan; sisters, Lillian Webb of Alum Bank and Elizabeth (Betty) McAndrews of Windber.

Mary was a member of the Alum Bank UMC. She worked at the Post Office for many years. She will be sadly missed by family and everyone who knew her.

A private service will be held due to COVID restrictions.

Interment will be at the Bedford County Memorial Park.
