Martin Eugene Hinton, 63, of Russel, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie.

He was born on June 26, 1953, in Roaring Springs, son of Robert Hinton and JoAnn S. Smith.

He was preceded in death by the following grandparents, Arlene Hinton and Charlie Hinton; A.W. Smith and Sarah Smith.

He is survived by his parents; sons, Charles M. Hinton and wife Lauren of Streetsboro, OH; Joseph M. Hinton of Lander, Pa; 3 grandchildren, Ella Tuberville; Elijah Hinton; and Mackenzie Hinton; and sister, Sharon Carter and husband Robert of Phoenixville, Pa.

Martin worked at Demerly Communications in Buffalo, NY, and also Dunkurt Communications in NY. He obtained the highest rank of Eagle Scout and was a Master Mason. He was in the Harley Davidson’s Owners Group, Chautauqua Kinzua Chapter. He was also an owner of Deepwood Vacation Rentals in Russel. He will be missed by all who knew him.
