Marie D. Ritchey, 95, of New Paris, passed away on October 6, 2019 at Donahoe Manor.

She was born on May 24, 1924, in Klahr; daughter of the late Thaddeus and Maggie (Musselman) Musselman.

On May 16, 1957, she married Harry R. Ritchey, who preceded her in death on July 1, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry; daughter, Wanda; sisters, Mollie, Flora, Fannie, Grace, and Virginia; brothers, Ralph and Clair.

She is survived by her children, Tim Ritchey of New Paris; Randy Ritchey and wife Annette of New Paris; Matt Ritchey and wife Tammy of Manns Choice; Daniel Ritchey and wife Lorrie of New Paris; 9 grandchildren, Jason, Eric, Belinda, Randi Jo, Angela, Amanda, Matt, Danny, Kayla; 11 great- grandchildren.

Marie was a member of the Horne United Methodist Church. She retired from Dorfman and Hoffman Sewing Factory in Cairnbrook. She loved gardening, flowers, baking, cooking, canning, and telling stories. She always made sure her family had plenty to eat. She really enjoyed people visiting her and when her family would visit her. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, October 9, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 10, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Darrel Cashdollar and Pastor John Hickman officiating at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home.

Marie will be laid to rest on the family farm.
