Margaret Domonkos, 90, of Alum Bank, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020.

She was born on September 1, 1930 in Johnstown; daughter of the late Clifford and Mary (Berkey) Shaffer.

On April 17, 1948, she married Andrew Domonkos, who preceded her in death on August 3, 2017.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andrew; infant son Andrew Jr. ; son, Steve; 3 grandsons; 1 great-granddaughter; sisters, Geraldine, Catherine, ands Florence; brother, Clifford (Butch). Margaret was the last surviving member of her family.

She is survived by her children, Sharon married to Charles Maxwell of Imler; Shirley married to David Lashinsky of Dillsburg; Virginia married to Gene Lakin; Andrew married to Shirley (Miller) of Bushnell, Florida; Mary Kay married to Thomas Osman of Alum Bank; Julia married to Rick Russell of South Fork; Karol wife of Steve of Johnstown; 27 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great- grandchildren.

Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was a member of the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. She will be missed by many and she left a giant footprint on the Earth with many to carry on her legacy. She was active in her Church, and community. She enjoyed playing bingo, and loved being pampered by her family.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of her family.
