Marcia Claar, 75, of New Paris, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.

She was born on October 6, 1941, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Earl and Elizabeth (Ferg) Cuppett.

On June 18, 1960, she married Perry Claar, who preceded her in death in November of 2009.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Perry; brother, Eugene; and sister, Patricia.

She is survived by daughter, Eileen Claar of Atlanta, Ga; daughter, Judy and husband Craig Bernat of Mineral Point, Pa; and son, William Claar of New Paris; 2 grandchildren, Brittany and husband Eugene Powell; and Meghan Bernat; and 3 great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Kaden, and Erika.

She was a lifetime member of the Pleasantville VFW. She will be missed by all who knew her.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be at the Bedford County Memorial Park.
