E. Lucille (Stufft) Barefoot
Alum Bank
E. Lucille (Stufft) Barefoot, 89, of 110 Main Street, Alum Bank, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 3, 2015.
She was born on December 17, 1925, in New Paris, the daughter of the late Harry and Bessie (Price) Stufft.
On February 1, 1947 she married Harold Ward Barefoot, who preceded her in death on January 17, 1987.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Harold; brother, Anson (Bud); sisters, Wilma Dunham and Izola Louise (Dode) Hess; and 3 grandchildren.
She is survived by the following family: daughters, Ima Jean, and husband Rayford (Butch) Berkey; Linda, and husband Eric Felix; Cindy, and husband Kenny Moore; and a son Brian Barefoot and wife Teri (Beegle); 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a soon to be great granddaughter due in April.
Lucille enjoyed family gatherings, parties, and cooking. She cleaned for different businesses and homes in our area; she also worked for Mae Hillegass at the Bedford Fair and Speedway. She was a member of the Alum Bank United Methodist Church.
Friends and family will be received at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home Wednesday, March 4, 2015 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 11 a.m., with Pastor David Zona officiating, at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home.
Interment will be at the Mount Union Cemetery, Lovely.
