Linda Lockard
Osterburg
Linda Lockard, 60, of Osterburg, went to be with the Lord on October 18, 2016 at Nason Hospital.
She was born on February 22, 1956, in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Fred and Stella (Glass) Gorman.
On Feb. 23, 1974, she married James Eugene Lockard.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Mary Lou Gonsman of Sproul.
She is survived by her husband James Eugene; daughter, Danielle and son-in-law Kevin Price of Osterburg; daughter, Stella Lockard of Bedford; sisters, Joanne Strayer of Sproul and Donna Richardson of New Hampshire; and brothers, James Gonsman of Altoona, and Brooklyn Gonsman.
Linda was a great family woman and a loving mother and housewife. She enjoyed shopping, camping, fishing, canning goods, sewing, planting, and was an active member of the Chestnut Ridge Independent Fellowship Church. She was very fond of all animals and had many pets over the years and is forever loved by her dog, Peanut. Her family and friends will always remember her as a kind-hearted and giving person who was always ready to help. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Friends and family will be received on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Chestnut Ridge Independent Fellowship Church. The funeral service will be held on Friday, Oct. 21, 2016 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Daniel Oldham officiating, with a dinner to follow at the Chestnut Ridge Independent Fellowship Church. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Linda’s life.

Interment will be held at the St. Mark’s Cemetery.
