Lela (Allison) Ickes, 87, formerly of Osterburg, passed away peacefully at Colonial Courtyard in Bedford on Monday, April 14, 2025.

She was born on June 13, 1937 in Lovely, a daughter of the late Ralph and Eva (Harbaugh) Allison.

On November 17, 1956, she married Leroy Ickes. They were married for 68 years.

She is survived by her husband, Leroy; children, Pam (Jesse Hall); Suzette (Kerre Sell); sisters-in-law, Josephine Allison and Lois Allison. She was a loving grandmother to five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her six brothers, Earl, Earnest, Clark, Landis, Wayne, Jay and three sisters, Margaret, Mae, and Mildred.

Lela enjoyed being a homemaker, sewing dolls and crafts, the outdoors, and finding four leaf clovers. Lela loved being prankster and enjoying life.

There will be a private service for immediate family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in memory of Lela to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 8th Avenue, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
