Larry “The Penny Man” Boyle

Larry “The Penny Man” Boyle, 63, of Osterburg, passed away unexpectedly on October 14, 2016 at his home.
He was born on December 2, 1952, in Pavia, son of the late Paul and Mattie C. (Stigers) Boyle.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother in law, Clyde Howsare; nephews, Lou Howsare and Bill Howsare.
He is survived by his wife, Donna (Maticic) Boyle of Osterburg; son, Josh Boyle of Ephrata, Pa; sisters, Shirley Howsare of Bedford; LaVerne (Larry) Ferguson of Schellsburg; Kathy (Dan) Decker of Va; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Larry was in the Beaver Dam Conservation group, Pavia Sportsman Association, and the FFA. Larry served in the United Sates Navy. He worked at the Small Tube Products plant in Duncansville. He enjoyed spending time with all of his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his cousin Randy, fishing with his nephews Russell and Austin, hunting, and driving around looking at the scenery. He also enjoyed stopping in at Dean’s Tire to socialize with Rod, Nancy, Brian, and Steve. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Tim Mock officiating at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home.
At the request of the deceased, he did not want any flowers. Any donations can be made to the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home to help with the funeral expenses.
Interment will be held at the Pavia Cemetery.
Military Rites will be accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
