Imler
June A. Comp, 69, of Imler, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at UPMC Altoona.
She was born on June 23, 1947, in Osterburg, daughter of the late Orlo and Mareda (Marshall) Benton.
On May 23, 1967, she married Donald E. Comp.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Darlene Keel.
She is survived by her husband Donald, of 49 years; son, Randy and wife Tonia Comp of Imler; granddaughter, Kayla Metz and great- granddaughter, Bailey Metz; brother, Barry Benton of Imler; and sister, Charlotte Ritchey, wife of the late Larry Ritchey, Osterburg.
June was a member and Sunday school teacher at the Lighthouse Baptist Church, she loved working with the children. She played a significant role at the church. She also enjoyed canning and giving her husband a hard time. She was a loving, wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Friends and family will be received on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016 from 12 to 4 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 4 p.m. with Pasor John
Clemens officiating at the Lighthouse Baptist Church, Claysburg.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lighthouse Baptist Church, 182 Arden St. Claysburg, Pa 16625.
Interment will be held at the Greenfield Cemetery.
