Joyce L. Corle, 82, of Osterburg, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2017, with her husband by her side like he has been for the past 66 years.

She was born on September 15, 1934, in Osterburg, daughter of the late Roland and June (MacCleery) Duffy; she was raised by her grandparents Ellsworth and Avena MacCleery.

On March 27, 1950, she married Sheldon R. Corle.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; son, S. Roy Corle; and siblings, Joe Barry Duffy, and Josie Mellott.

She is survived by her husband Sheldon; the following children: daughter-in-law, Alice Corle of Bedford; Brenda and husband George McKinsey of Dover, Pa; Rodney and wife Sheri Corle of New Paris; Tammie and husband Craig Hess of Schellsburg; Dana and wife Paula Corle of Fishertown; 10 grandchildren, Alex Corle; Penni Heidorn and fiancé Kevin Frey; Amanda Naylor; Desirae and husband Jim Melikant; Heather and husband Matt DuFour; Tyler Corle; Ryan Hess; Kyle and wife Jessie Hess; Logan Corle and fiancé Britta Musser; and Tanner Corle; 9 great-grandchildren, Erica; Angel; Eli; Isaac; Grace; Jarrett; Kaydence; Zeke; and Jade; brothers, John, James, and Jack Duffy; and sister, Gail England.

Joyce was a member of the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Osterburg. She was a member of the Rebecca Lodge. She worked at Five Gables, Chilcoates, Carriage House, Travelers Rest, Apple Bin, and Slick’s Ivy Stone. Joyce loved dogs, the beach, music, and Elvis. Her family was her whole life and meant the world to her. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Friends and family will be received Sunday, Jan. 8, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home and on Monday, Jan. 9, from 10 a.m. until the hour of the funeral service at 11 a.m., with Pastor David Weinhold officiating, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Bedford.

Interment will be held at the Osterburg Cemetery.
