God fulfilled his promise and took JoAnn Mowry, 72, home on Friday, April 14, 2023.

JoAnn was born on April 11, 1951, daughter of the late Harry and Mary Ada (Claycomb) Mowry.

She was raised and lived her entire very unique life on the family farm until needing full time care two years ago. She graduated from Chestnut Ridge in 1969.  JoAnn gardened, grew flowers, and made wreaths from the things she gathered from her woods. She was a true nature lover who could name every plant she passed and tell you what God’s purpose for that plant was. Years ago, she had a roadside stand and sold her surplus harvest, wild berries, flowers, and crafts. She Is survived by her beloved cats.

A viewing and service was held at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home on Monday, April 17th, with Pastor Tim Mock officiating.

Interment at the Osterburg Cemetery.

Donations may be made to the Mt. Zion Church of Pavia in memory of JoAnn.
