Jeanne Folk, 84, of Alum Bank, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at her home.
She was born on March 18, 1936, in Alum Bank; daughter of the late Roy A. and Midge (Walker) Mock.
On March 31, 1962, she married James Folk who preceded her in death on April 26 , 2014.
Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Doris Metzler, brothers, Jay, Glenn, Arden, Mike and Clifford Mock.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary wife of Donald Rowzer of Alum Bank; son, Jim and Nancy of Alum Bank; grandchildren, Mindy wife of Graham Shadle of Fishertown; Sara Rowzer of Alum Bank; Jessie wife of Kyle Hess of Camp Hill; Emily Folk of Alum Bank; great-grandchildren, Landyn and Jaelyn Pincin; Zeke, Jade, and Laney Hess; and Madison Pincin; sister, Ferne Shaffer of Alum Bank; sister-in-law, Carol Mock of Florida; her nieces and nephews who she loved like her own children, and a number of dear friends who she considered family.
Jeanne was a member of Liberty Bible Church. She worked as a telephone operator and in later years at Ridgetop Orchards.
The family wishes to extend a sincere Thank You to the Windber Hospice, Dr. Kelly Warshal, Jaymi Barnett and Heather McBee.
Services will be private. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Burial will be at the Mount Union Cemetery.
