James “Jim” Marshall

James “Jim” Marshall, 68, of Imler, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at the James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center.
He was born on May 14, 1947, in Bedford, son of the late Robert and Charolette (Weaver) Marshall.
On Dec. 22, 1973, he married Reta (Miller) Marshall, who preceded him in death on Dec. 13, 1986.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Reta; son, Jeff; and two grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter Connie Marshall of Bedford; brothers, Robert and wife Margarett Marshall of Gransbury, Texas; John and wife Brenda Marshall of Moyers, Oklahoma; Gary and companion Deb Shane of Martinsburg; sisters, Karen and husband Richard Wyant of Duncansville; Kathy Marshall, living at her home place; four grandchildren and five great- grandchildren.
Mr. Marshall worked at the brickyard and Keystone Insulators. He was a member of the Bedford American Legion Post 113. He was a 1965 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School. Jim enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, NASCAR, and watching the Steelers and the Pirates play.
Friends and family will be received at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home Friday, Oct. 9, 2015 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015 at 1 p.m. until the hour of the funeral service at 2 p.m. at the Chestnut Ridge Independent Fellowship Church with Pastor Daniel Oldham officiating.
Interment will be at the Bedford County Memorial Park.
