Iva Kathleen (Corle) Lingenfelter
Imler
Iva Kathleen Lingenfelter, 85, of Imler, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Presbyterian Village, Hollidaysburg.
She was born on May 19, 1930, in Imler, a daughter of the late Austin and Virgie (Fickes) Corle.
In November of 1951 she married Ronald E. Lingenfelter, who preceded her in death on March 28, 1989.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Vickie L. Snyder; grandson, Justin L. Farkas; daughter in law Gaye A. Lingenfelter; son in law Sam Musselman; siblings, Jennie Hengst, Ethel Stiffler, Lloyd and Gene Corle.
She is survived by her children, Janice Musselman of Roaring Spring, Judith, wife of Mike Crist of Osterburg; Patricia wife of Edward “Kip” Larson of Imler; Ronald “Butch” Lingenfelter and wife Kim of Imler; and Brenda Jordan of Osterburg; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren; siblings, Warren Corle of Imler; Francis Stiffler of Imler; Grace Walters of Imler; Mary Walter of Martinsburg; Robert Corle of Imler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Iva was a member of the St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Imler. She retired from the Chestnut Ridge School district after 28 years of service. She enjoyed gardening, her cats, spending time with the family, and bowling. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, Bedford County PASR, Imler Ladies Auxiliary, and St. Paul Ladies Aid. She will be forever remembered for her kind heart and caring ways.
Friends and family will be received at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Imler on Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday, April 24, 2016 from 1 p.m. until the hour of the funeral service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Daniel Oldham.
Interment will be held at the Imler Valley Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Imler Fire Company.
