Irvin “Eugene” Bowser, 87, of Alum Bank, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2015 at home.

He was born on Oct. 10, 1927 in Claysburg, son of the late Calvin and Trella (Fleegle) Bowser.

On Oct. 10, 1993 he married Jewell (Barker) Bowser of Alum Bank.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Katherine (Thomas) Bowser; an infant brother; brothers, Lemuel, Elwood, Roy, and Chester.

He is survived by son, Phillip Bowser and wife Nicole of Greencastle, Pa; Alyce Kremer of Alum Bank; James Bonham of Port Republic, Md; Walter (Rusty) Bonham of Port Republic, Md; Rebecca Kronenberg of Havelock, Nc; brothers, Raymond Bowser of Kansas and Fred Bowser of Alum Bank; four sisters, Blanche of Montana; Mable of Central City; Fern of Washington St.; Lucy of Imler; and two grandchildren, Daren and Kaitlyn Bowser.

Friends and family will be received at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home, Sunday, June 7, 2015 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held Monday, June 8, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral home, with ordained Minister Rusty Bonham officiating.

Military Rites will be accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.

Interment will be held at the Ogletown Cemetery.
