Ima “Jean” Berkey, 68, of Alum Bank, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at UPMC Altoona.

She was born on July 17, 1947 in Lovely, the daughter of the late Harold Ward and E. Lucille (Stufft) Barefoot.

On June 21, 1968, she married Rayford “Butch” Berkey.

She is survived by her husband Rayford; daughters, Katina and husband Greg Gibbner of Schellsburg; Brenda Berkey and companion Clinton Smith of Alum Bank; Denise Berkey of Alum Bank; Daelene Berkey and fiancé Andrew Summers of Alum Bank; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Dylan Gibbner; sisters, Linda and husband Eric Felix of Alum Bank; Cindy and husband Kenny Moore of Osterburg; and a brother, Brian and wife Teri Barefoot of Alum Bank.

Ima “Jean” was a member of the Alum Bank United Methodist Church. She loved spoiling her grandchildren. She enjoyed picnics, pig roasts, and most of all spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Friends and family will be received, Monday, Nov. 9, 2015 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Charles Jack officiating at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home.
