Harry “Ray” Hammer, 100, of Martinsburg, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022, just 2 months shy of his 101st birthday.

He was born on May 15, 1921, in Osterburg; son of the late Ross and Lillian (Berkheimer) Hammer.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and beloved sister, Winona. Harry was the last surviving member of his family.

He is survived by 2 special cousins, David and John Fulton, and numerous additional cousins.

Harry was baptized at the Reformed Church in Osterburg. He loved to hunt and he made hunting and fishing trips to Canada. He was a carpenter in Bedford and Cambria County. He was a carpenter and farmer his whole life.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 9th from 10 a.m. until the hour of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor James Neatrour officiating at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home.

Burial will be at the Osterburg Community Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Osterburg Community Cemetery- 319 Main Street Osterburg, Pa 16667.
