Harry Max McDannell

Harry Max McDannell known to family and friends as “Max,” 78, passed away July 26, 2017, at Pennknoll Village.
He was born Dec. 21, 1938, in Alum Bank.
He lived in Alum Bank his whole life where he was a barber for many years while also working for Wakeman Trucking. He loved collecting horses, drawing and playing his guitar to all the great country oldies. He also liked to attend auctions, fish, hunt and the auto races in Bedford. He will be sadly missed by all who knew this quiet, gentle man who liked to laugh.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Jean McDannell; his parents, Harry E. and Charlotte (Harbaugh) McDannell; brother, Tony McDannell; sister, Roxanne; and grandson, Gary Pfahler Jr.
He is survived by three children: son, Rick McDannell, husband, of Lisa; daughter, Angie (McDannell) Price, wife of David; and son, Shannon McDannell, formerly married to Teresa Lancaster; brother, Galen McDannell; seven grandchildren: Joshua McDannell (wife Eva), Brittany, Allison and Keirsten Price, Brandon Pfahler, Travis Pfahler, husband of Tasha, and Jake Thomas; four great-grandchildren: Bria, Dax, Malachi and Nevaeh; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
