Grace Elizabeth (Corle) Walter, of Imler, was called to be with the Lord on Friday, September 16, 2016 at the age of 92.

She was born on March 18, 1924, daughter of the late John Austin and Virgie Viola (Fickes) Corle.

On January 25, 1946, she married Roy Walter, who preceded her in death on May 14, 1993.

She is survived by her children, Dallas and wife Jane of Schellsburg; Cheryl and husband Fred of Imler; Gerald (Jerry) and wife Linda of Kansas; also 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great- grandchildren; siblings, Mary Walter, Francis Stiffler, Warren Corle and Robert Corle Sr.

She was preceded in death by a grandson Little Jerry; sisters, Jennie Hengst, Ethel Stiffler, Iva Lingenfelter; brothers, Lloyd Corle, and Eugene Corle.

She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Imler, where she was president of the Ladies Aide for years. She was a lifetime member of the Imler Volunteer Fire Co where she served as president of the Ladies Auxilary for many years. She loved to work at the Church and Firehall. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She will be missed by all.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Imler. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016 at 11 a.m. with Pastor James Neatrour and Pastor Daniel Oldham officiating at the St. Paul’s United Church of Christ.

Interment will be at the Imler Valley Cemetery.
