Geraldine Feathers, 79 of Imler, Pa died Friday, October 10, 2014 at UPMC Altoona Hospital with family at her side.
She was born in Lovely on April 29, 1935. She was the daughter of Orville and Edna (Davis) Mock.
She is survived by her husband, Curtis Feathers; ending a union of 64 years; along with the following children, Sonja McDonald (Galen) of Imler; Jackie Bowser (David) of New Paris; Karen Baker (Michael) of New Enterprise; Patricia Oldham (Wayne) of New Paris; Denise Hershberger (Kenneth) of Bedford; and son Curtis Feathers Jr. (Lori) of Somerset; a brother Sheldon Mock of Harrisburg; a sister Berneice Schmauch of Harrisburg; she is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; great grandson Jeramiah Feathers; and the following brothers and sisters, Geneive Crall, Floyd Mock, Helen Feathers, Betty Holderbaum, and Donald Mock.
Geraldine was affiliated with the Spring Hope Brethren Church. She was primarily a wife, mother, and homemaker who took pride in caring for her children, dressing them up to look like doll babies. She was also a licensed beautician. She was anxiously awaiting the arrival of a new great grandchild in January. She felt she was very blessed with having a family of 99 members.
A viewing will be held Sunday, October 12, 2014 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home and the funeral service will be held Monday, October 13, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Gary Blankley officiating.
