Gary R. Knisely

Alum Bank

Gary R. Knisely, 82, of Alum Bank, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022.

He was born on October 29, 1940 in Queen; son of the late Homer and Bertha (Rauphauch) Knisely.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Gary II; and brothers, Fred, Leon, and Franklin.

He is survived by his children, David and wife Sharon Knisely of Claysburg; Diana and husband William Deaner of Somerset; Christine Fortune of Liste; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Gary loved to go look at trains and look for deer. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday at 10 a.m. until the hour of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Daniel Oldham officiating at the Chestnut Ridge Independent Fellowship Church.

Private burial will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to ASPCA.
