Garland B. Poland, 80, of Osterburg, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 14, 2015 at UPMC Altoona.

He was born on January 29, 1935, in Shanks, WV, the son of the late Raymond and Martha (Michael) Poland.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Deborah and Annette; son, Allen; brother, Leonard; and granddaughter Madison.

He is survived by his daughters, Martha Clark and husband Jeff of Osterburg; Cathy Fernandez and husband Mario of Lusby, MD; brothers, Andrew and wife Barb Poland of Romney, WV; Kenneth and wife Jennifer Poland of Cumberland, MD; sister, Freeda Blackstone of Everett; nine grandchildren, Erica, Jason, J.R., Chelsea, Paul, Morgan, Stefan, Krystal, and Mario; ten great-grandchildren, Hunter, Logan, Savanna, Olivia, Skyler, Tia, Christian, Victoria, Celeste, and Jayson; and one great-great-grandson, Brenton.

Garland was a member of the Trinity Reformed Church in Osterburg. He enjoyed spending time with all of his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Friends and family will be received at the Trinity Reformed Church, Osterburg, Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Charlie Miller officiating.

Interment will be at the Hotts Chapel Cemetery in Kirby, WV.
