Dorothy F. Crissman, 95, of New Paris, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021 at UPMC Altoona.
She was born on February 15, 1926; daughter of the late Harry and Ella (Bowen) Carson.
She was married to Earl A. Crissman for 54 years; he preceded her in death on April 6, 2002.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ruth Nelson; brothers, Dick and Glenn Carson; infant sister, Ethel Carson; grand-daughter, Amanda Crist.
She is survived by her children, Janice (Crissman) married to Lynn Crist; Joyce (Crissman) married to Robert Mull; 3 grandchildren, Troy Crist married to Michele (Richart). Bryan Crist married to Melody (Turner); Jennie (Mull) married to James Cook; 8 great- grandchildren, Amanda (passed away in 2019) and Erica Crist, daughters of Troy and Michele Crist; Brody and Jayden Crist, sons of Bryan and Melody Crist; Hadley, Pippa, Winnie, and Ross Cook, children of James and Jennie Cook.
Dorothy graduated from Pleasantville Joint High School in 1944. She loved being with her family and was proud of them all, just as they are of her. She liked baking and cooking and sharing her goodies with family and friends. She enjoyed her church family and being the oldest member of ACTS Community Church. She loved to camp, travel with her husband, and picnics with her family and neighbors. She loved life and lived it well!
Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, April 21 from 9 a.m. until the hour of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor John Bennett officiating at the ACTS Community Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ACTS Community Church, 169 Bedford Plaza Rd., Bedford, Pa 15522.
Interment will be at the Bedford County Memorial Park.
