Dorothy Grace Claycomb, 82, of Sterling, Va, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 7, 2023 at Inova Loudoun Hospital.

She was born on July 3, 1941 in Manns Choice; daughter of the late Israel and Dorothy (Carrico) Herline.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Sam, Julia, Nancy, and Faye.

On June 3, 1962, she married Allen Claycomb.

She is survived by her husband, Allen; sons, David Claycomb of Plano, TX; Philip Claycomb of Sterling, VA; 3 grandchildren; and brother, John Clarence Herline.

Dorothy and her husband have served as missionaries for 55 years. They lived in Costa Rica, Chile, and Guatemala. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held on a later date.
