Doris Jean (Bowser) Gordon, 91, of New Paris, passed away on January 23, 2021 at Donahoe Manor in Bedford.

She was born on April 10, 1929 in Cumberland, Md; daughter of the late Stanley and Lena (Johnson) Bowser.

On May 20, 1950, she married Glen Gordon, who preceded her in death on June 20, 1999.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by brothers, James Bowser and William Bowser; and sister, Betty Gordon.

Doris is survived by loving son, Clifford of Glen Allen, Va; sister, Mae Mucciola of Windber; brother, G. Roy Bowser of New Paris; also, several nieces and nephews.

Doris was a graduate of Pleasantville High School. She worked at the Chestnut Ridge High School cafeteria for 25 years. She loved to bake, crochet, and work in her yard and garden. She was a member of the New Paris United Methodist Church. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, January 27 from 10 a.m. until the hour of the funeral service at 12 p.m. with Eric Larson officiating at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home.

Interment will be at the Fishertown Cemetery.
