David Ray Fickes

David Ray Fickes, 65, of Imler, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at home.
He was born on January 10, 1961 in Roaring Spring; son of the late James and Dorothy (Nycum) Fickes.
On August 11, 1984, he married Leslie (Barefoot) Fickes.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dennis Fickes.
David is survived by his loving wife, Leslie; sons, Ryan and wife Nikki Fickes; Kevin and wife Ashlan Fickes; 4 grandchildren, Callan, Maddyn, Jack and Lincoln; brother, Sydney and wife Anita Fickes; and sister, Kathy and husband Bobby Decker.
David was a 1978 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School. He worked at FI-HOFF Concrete for 48 years. He was a Ham Radio Operator KA3KIG, he enjoyed softball and in his later years golf. He spent many years at NHRA in Reading with Leslie. He loved deer and turkey hunting and shot gun shoots. David was affiliated with St. Paul’s UCC in Imler.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 1 from 5 to 7 p.m. and the memorial service will be at 7 p.m. with Pastor James Neatrour officiating all at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home.
