DANIEL R. BAREFOOT

Daniel R. Barefoot, 75, of Bedford, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at his home.

He was born on November 21, 1947, son of Joseph Earl Barefoot and Pauline May (Hostetler) Barefoot.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother James Earl Barefoot Sr. M.D.; sister Dorothy Jean (Barefoot) Windham; sister Lola Mae (Barefoot) Felton; and sister Mary Jane “Janie” (Barefoot) Rizzo.

Daniel is survived by his wife Elizabeth (McGill) Barefoot; his children, Ray Gerald Barefoot of Erie; Kimberly Sue Barefoot of Fishertown; Christopher Klemstine and Wife Christine of Delmont, PA; brothers Joseph Robert Barefoot of New Paris and Arthur Jay Barefoot of Alum Bank; sister Martha Kay (Barefoot) Dull of Alum Bank; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.    

Daniel was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Squadron 113 Bedford;  Free and Accepted Masons Hollidaysburg Lodge 220; Jaffa Shriners; Redmen Club 507, Everett; VFW Auxiliary Fort Bedford Post 7527.

Daniel worked at New Enterprise Stone and Lime for 44 years as a heavy equipment operator. 

A Celebration of Life is to be scheduled by the family at a later date.
