Curtis Lynn “Jack” Feathers, 88, of Imler, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2017, at home with his family by his side.

He was born on Jan. 20, 1928, in Imler, son of the late Arch W. and Minnie (Burkett) Feathers.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Geraldine Feathers of 63 years of marriage; great-grandson Jeramiah Feathers; and all of his siblings except Kermit Feathers of Osterburg.

He is survived by his children, Sonja McDonald (Galen) of Imler; Jackie Bowser (David) of New Paris; Karen Baker (Michael) of New Enterprise; Patricia Oldham (Wayne) of New Paris; Denise Hershberger (Kenneth) of Bedford; Curtis Feathers Jr. (Lori) of Somerset; 21 grandchildren; and 44 great-grandchildren with one more on the way.

Curtis attended the Weyant United Methodist Church. He was in the Army Aircore, and served from 1946-1949. He drove truck for McQuaid’s Trucking for 43 years.  He loved Gospel music, and Hymn sings. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, Jan. 10 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Weyant United Methodist Church. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 11, at 11 a.m. with Pastor John Mackey officiating at the Weyant United Methodist Church.

Interment will be at the Mt. Union Cemetery in Lovely.

Military Rites accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
