Charles D. Beutman, 71, of Alum Bank, passed away unexpectedly on July 25, 2016 at Windber Hospital.

He was born on March 11, 1945 in Windber, the son of the late William C. and Veron (Adams) Beutman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Linda Knavel and Jane Fickes; and brother, Roger Beutman.

He is survived by his son, Michael C. and wife Heather (Rose) Beutman of Alum Bank; daughter, Dara A. and husband John Mowery of Everett; three grandchildren, Alydia, Hannah, and Madison; step-grandson, JT; brothers, John Beutman of Bedford; Thomas and wife Eileen (Shaffer) Beutman of New Paris; James and wife Karen (Lott) Beutman of Georgia; Jeffery and wife Irene (Kaufman) Beutman of Alum Bank; sisters, Ann Burkhart of New Paris; Becky and husband Gary Foor of Bedford.

Charles was a lifetime member of the VFW, and a member of the American Legion. He was in the Honor Guard for many years. Charles served in the Army. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Friends and family will be received on Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home and on Monday, August 1, 2016 from 10 a.m. until the hour of the funeral service at 11 a.m., with Pastor James Espenshade officiating at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home.

Military Rites accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.

Interment at the Pleasantville Cemetery.
