C. Melda “Sally” Yingling

C. Melda “Sally” Yingling, 92, of Bedford, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.

She was born on October 11, 1924, in Pavia, daughter of the late Calvin and Daisy (Lamburn) Corle.

On July 28, 1952, she married James Yingling, who preceded her in death.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; daughter, Jerri; and grandson, James Yingling III.

She is survived by her son, James Jr. of Hollidaysburg; daughter, Rhonda and husband Donald Grimes of Bedford; five grandchildren, Nicole Lasure; Codi Ann Weyant; Sarah Grimes; LeAnn Grimes; and Sherry Friday; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Rita Feathers of Imler.

Melda was a lifetime member of the Mt. Zion Reformed Church of Pavia. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, April 26 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Mt. Zion Reformed Church of Pavia. The funeral service will be held Thursday, April 27, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Tim Mock officiating at the Mt. Zion Reformed Church of Pavia.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to the Mt. Zion Reformed Church of Pavia.

Interment will be at the Pavia Cemetery.
