Burl R. Willey, 82, of New Paris, passed away on January 3, 2021 at home.
He was born on October 23, 1938; son of Bruce and Mary (Reffner) Willey.
On June 26, 1971, he married Shirley (Farber) Willey, who preceded him in death on May 15, 2015.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley; brothers, Merl “Sonny”, Bruce “Beany”, Jim; and sister, Mary “Sis”.
He is survived by his children, Bill Willey married to Lorie (Mock) of Lovely; Becky Murphy married to Doug Murphy of New Paris; Brad Willey and fiancé Amanda Knisely; grandchildren, Lené Willey, Trenden Willey, Treven Willey, Raylee Willey, Maleah Murphy, Jaycub Willey, Elleonna Willey, Bray Willey; 2 great grandchildren, Oliver and Baylie Willey; siblings, Charles Reffner of Hopewell; Rose Bonsell of Virginia Beach; and Carol and husband Dave Keithly of Pavia.
Burl graduated from Claysburg High School and served in the Army for 4 years. He loved his family, hunting, and fishing. He was self employed and worked at the Osterburg Diesel as an Auto Repair man.
