Betty Elizabeth Slick
New Paris
Betty Elizabeth Slick, 94, of New Paris went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 5, 2014.
She was born on March 23, 1920, in New Paris, the daughter of the late Lorenzo and Daisy (Harbaugh) Harbaugh.
On Dec. 29, 1940, she married Rev. William Anson Slick, a retired Methodist Minister.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband William; brothers, William, George, Richard, and Robert Harbaugh; sisters, Sadie Barker, Mae Moore, Charolette McDanell.
She is survived by children, Janet and husband Edward Diehl of Glades Pike, Ronald and wife Carol (Fickes) Slick of Osterburg, William L. Lorenzo Slick of New Paris, and Jacqueline Carol and husband David L. Berkey of Claysburg; a sister Amy Louise Alabaugh of Johnstown; 5 grandchildren, Michael William Slick, Christine Ickes, Todd Diehl, Pam Furman, and April Edwards; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Betty was a member of the Alum Bank United Methodist Church for 50 years.
Friends and family will be received at the Alum Bank United Methodist Church Sunday, June 8, 2014 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held Monday, June 9, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Alum Bank United Methodist Church with Pastor David Zona, Rev. Dr. Robert Ludrowsky, and Pastor Eric Larson officiating.
Interment will be at the Fishertown Cemetery.
