Bert Cooper
Bert Cooper, 77, of Alum Bank, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2014. She was born on Oct. 22, 1936 in Mundys Corner, the daughter of the late Vincent and Inez (Toner) Nealen. In October 1978, she married Eric Conibear. She was preceded in death by her parents, and Sister Alice Tewart.
She is survived by her husband, Eric; Sons Vincent Cooper and wife Sheryl of Schellsburg; Patrick Cooper and wife Clare of Frostburg, Maryland; siblings, Priscilla and husband Joe Kozorosky of Nanty Glo; Jacob Nealen of Avondale, West Virginia; Ronald and wife Connie Nealen of Mundys Corner; William and wife Betty Nealen of Mundys Corner; Vincent and wife Irene Nealen of Owensboro, Kentucky; Teresa and husband Bill Harker of Mundys Corner; Linda and husband Ray Walk of Charlotte, North Carolina; and Elaine and husband Lee Hildebrand of Mundys Corner; four grandchildren, Vincent Paul Cooper Jr., Christina Herbert, Brittany Cooper, and Lance Cooper; she is also survived by brother-in-law, William Tewart of Mundys Corner.
Bert was an Appaloosa horse breeder; she had a passion for horses and yorkies. She was an avid photographer. She lived in Calvert County Maryland for 19 years. She will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Friends and family will be received at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home, Alum Bank, on Sunday, May 4, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-8 p.m., memorial service immediately following, with Father Bob Reese officiating.
