Audrey L. (Heidorn) Poet, 88, of Alum Bank, passed away on Friday, January 08, 2016 at the Frostburg Village, Maryland.

She was born on August 16, 1927 in Alum Bank, the daughter of the late August and Hettie (Marsh) Heidorn.

On October 10, 1953, she married George Stanton, who preceded her in death on March 18, 1985.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; sisters, Aritta Oppy, Ivy Ribblet, Vallie Maser, Hilda Carson, Laverna Feathers, Phyllis Corle, Viola Callihan; brothers, Crawford, Donald, Herman, Leroy, Walter, Robert, Glenn, and August.

She is survived by daughters, Beverly married to Donald Bloom; Karen married to John “Chris” Draeger; Bobbie married to William Brubaker all of Alum Bank; 4 grandchildren, Kristy, Candie, Michael, and Melissa; and 6 great- grandchildren, Andy, Devon, Thomas, Aubrie, Abigail, and Jacob.

There will be a memorial service held on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Ryot Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Kevin Davis officiating.

A private interment will be held at the Fishertown Cemetery.  

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association and the Cancer Society.
