Alvin R. Brown Jr., 92, of Fishertown, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Conemaugh Hospital.

He was born on April 5, 1932 in Pavia; son of the late Alvin R. Sr. and Mary Pearl (Cathers) Brown.

On February 19, 1958, he married Beverly (Cuppett) Brown.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ruby Stanley; and granddaughter, Marah Wolfe.

Alvin is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Beverly; children, Tonya Brown of Fishertown; Tammy and husband Robert Milburn of Schellsburg; Troy Brown of Fishertown; Trina and husband James Roudabush of Fishertown; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren; and sister, Mereda and husband Robert Werner of Schellsburg.

Alvin was affiliated with Pine Grove Church. He coached girls’ and boys’ softball and baseball for years. He was also the president of the CR Ball League. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Interment will be at the Fishertown Cemetery.
